Touching the Ice
There's something special about being around frozen waterfalls. Fascination, intimidation, but there's one overwhelming feeling almost everyone will feel. That feeling of being a kid again. To experience the wonder of wanting to explore, touch, and feel. I captured my friend who like me, had come from a hot, humid part of the world and moved to a new country to experience the mountains. This is his first time touching ice. This is his first time ice climbing. And this is how we play.
Your caption perfectly describes how special this moment must be to experience in real life — I can only imagine how amazing it must be to witness frozen waterfalls. I love how wide you shot this photo, revealing a sense of scale to the ice in comparison to your friend. I bet he loves this photo — and memory. Well done.
