    Ultra-marathons runners know of the Badwater 135 mile race that is held each year from Death Valley to Mount Whitney, Calif. After having been to Death Valley on our way to Sequoia and taking a small walk into a canyon, anyone who can run 1 mile in that heat is amazing, let alone running 135 miles.
