    Reported by:

Buddhist Saints sanctified this lake and gave it a sacred name as ‘Khachoedpalri’(mKha-sPyod-dPal-ri) which means “mountain of blissful heaven” and recognized it as an abode of ‘Tsho-sMan Pemachen’ the protective Nymph of the Buddhism. The lake is an integral part of the much revered valley of "Demazong" meaning valley of rice. This landscape is also known as a land of hidden treasures blessed by Guru Padmasambhava. http://www.sikkimeccl.gov.in/History/HolyLakes/HolyLakes.aspx
