I, don't know why I did, but I took a self portrait of myself the day after finding out that my mother had suddenly passed away. My mother lived in a tiny little town in South Africa and I currently live in Canada, so we had a long distance type of relationship....today is my birthday and its the first time in my 37 years on the planet that I know she's not going to call me. This is my face of devastation and loss. I really miss her.
