This portrait was taken at Streamside Camp in the Poconos, during my family's churches annual weekend camping trip. The girl in this photo is Miriam, my little baby cousin. She was playing on the wooden ship next to the lake at the camp. She had a cookie in her hand and a smile on her face the entire time. I personally love this photo because she is looking directly into the camera lens. I was trying to emulate Saul Leiter's mood in his "In My Room" exhibit that I saw at the Greenburg Gallery.
