Inspired after watching and reading "Katie's New Face" I have decided to upload this photo (and the next photo) from my recent series "Human Evolution" which can be interpreted in many ways. Inspired by the Christian icons and church mosaics an amazing mask by Elisabeth Péclard is leading you through death to rebirth. Modelled by courageous Elena Bolotnova

On first sight, this portrait left me unsettled because of how closely the mosaic mask mimics a human face without actually being human. Yet, this image is beautifully haunting and I couldn't stop thinking about it. I love that you use your caption to share your inspiration and how you used Christian icons and mosaic artwork to bring together a story of rebirth to life. Well done, Julia.
