The Gateshead Millennium Bridge
The Gateshead Millennium Bridge is a pedestrian and cyclist tilt bridge spanning the River Tyne in North East England between Gateshead and Newcastle upon Tyne. The Bridge was opened to the public in 2001 and is sometimes referred to as the 'Blinking Eye Bridge' due to its shape and its tilting method.
