    This was taken during my trip to kerala,India during a local festival. You might notice a girl been carried on the shoulders of these villagers. After I talked to the villagers they told me that the boys were dressed as the devi(girl) and girls were dressed as devan( boys). Isn't that fascinating. When asked they said it is to show the equality between both the sexes. I was so humbled and honored to witness this in a small town in kerala.
