We had booked a hotel to celebrate my daughter's 10th birthday out of town after picking her up from overnight camp, and instead spent the day picking lice from her hair. This was taken a few hours into de-lousing and my husband offered to help go through her hair. She is keeping herself entertained by making shadow puppets on the sheets. As unfortunate as it was to be spending her birthday this way, this was a sweet moment of unconditional love between her and her dad.
