We had booked a hotel to celebrate my daughter's 10th birthday out of town after picking her up from overnight camp, and instead spent the day picking lice from her hair. This was taken a few hours into de-lousing and my husband offered to help go through her hair. As unfortunate as it was to be spending her birthday this way, this was a sweet moment of unconditional love between her and her dad.
