Living in the remote mountains of eastern Washington, it is possible to not see another person for days. Wildlife is abundant. After a wind storm where several trees and branches were lost, we discovered a nest of baby cedar wax wings and watched their journey from hatching to leaving the nest. This photo was taken just after three of the babies had hatched. A special moment in time.
