Valley Forge: cabin at sunset
The Continental Army under General George Washington spent the winter of 1777-78 encamped at Valley Forge, while the British occupied Philadelphia. Over 2,000 cabins, like the one pictured, were constructed by the troops. Today, people come to Valley Forge National Park to learn about the history of the American revolution, as well as picnic, cycle, walk and jog around this now peaceful plateau. This was a very cloudy sunset, however I felt the dramatic clouds contrasted with the quiet cabin.
