After visiting Ellis Island the boat turned around to dock with the Staue of Liberty. Somewhat removed from it’s original purpose, the rich history of Ellis Island left me with a deep feeling of appreciation of the diversity of New York. This specific view left me astounded at how it must of felt in a time gone of the courage by the new arrivals to America.
