This picture has been captured in Germany's second largest city, Hamburg. The beautiful Speicherstadt is the largest warehouse district in the world where the buildings stand on timber-pile foundations. It is located in Hamburg within the HafenCity quarter and was built from 1883 to 1927. Since the year 2009, both the district and the surrounding area are have been under redevelopment. As the first site in Hamburg, it was awarded the status of UNESCO World Heritage Site on 5 July 2015.

This is awesome Matthias — fantastic seeing. Great job taking advantage of the patterns created in the architecture and lights to make for a visually captivating frame. I love how my eye just explores this scene. I love how you shot this photo using a long exposure, the water is so still and reflective. Thanks for the detailed caption explaining where in the world you took this photo. Very well done.
