I think forgetfullness is a coping mechanism of being clumsy. Each morning before coffee I manage to spill something. If I don't clean it up in that moment, it might not happen. As it gets colder, hot chocolate becomes a seasonal stapple. Today as it fell to the floor I made a mental note to clean it up. That mental note perfectally coincided with me stepping in it. My foot is clean, but the floor will have to wait until I do chores.
