Lime Kiln Light is part of Lime Kiln Point State Park on the western edge of San Juan Island in Washington State. One of the best places to observe Orcas from land, Lime Kiln Point State Park is a popular tourist destination, which also offers magnificent views of Vancouver Island, Canada, just across the Haro Strait. On this evening in June, despite the heavy cloud cover, I caught some of the beautiful colors of the trees aglow with the golden sunset light. Truly a magical scene!
