These two sri lankan leopard cubs (panthera pardus kotiya) were spotted on an evening in wilpattu national park.the cubs were not much familiar with human interaction so came close to our vehicle to explore us.! yet they were always on high alert observing our every move,making a close encounter for both parties! Sri Lankan leopard is threatened due to habitat loss and fragmentation primarily with some levels of direct poaching and direct and indirect human-leopard related leopard deaths.
