It's been the year of quickly changing seasons in the Canadian Rockies. Winter became summer almost instantly at the end of April. Now, we've barely had fall and winter came knockin' on October 1st. This photo came about as I stood on the pedestrian bridge in Golden and was amazed by the scenery in front of me. I love the bright fall colours against the newly snow covered mountainside and the Kicking Horse river still running blue.
