I'm from Colorado and used to hiking in the Rockies but the Andes were a different story. Notice the zig-zag "trail" on the right hand side of the photo. To go anywhere in this region meant a day of steep climbing, summiting onto a knife edge, and then down the other side. The next day repeat and repeat. I hope you enjoy this shot from day 4, it was like standing inside of a Maxfield Parrish painting.
