I had come across a Black-capped Chickadee nest in a decaying birch tree and was set up with my camera pointing at the comings and goings of Mr and Mrs Chickadee when an American Robin landed on a nearby perch to check me out for a minute before continuing on its way, probably to its own nest close by.
