Nothing can prepare you for the emotional reaction you will have when you are close to Mountain Gorillas in the wild. It's encouraging that the endangered gorilla population is growing, thanks to tourism. Tourists bring jobs and provide incentive to protect the mountain habitat that is home to these primates as well as many other species. The local people are very proud that they have something beautiful to offer the outside world--something no other place on earth can provide.
