It's an irruption year. Basically, food supplies (various seed crops) are low in boreal Canada this year. So, a lot of birds that winter further north are heading south. It's been years since I've had a Red-breasted Nuthatch in the yard. Looking forward to winter and the surprises it will bring. https://miketimmonsphoto.com
