Light pollution is an alteration in the nocturnal environment. This alteration causes damage of a different nature: environmental, scientific, cultural and economic. Plastics release chemicals that are harmful to the surrounding soil, which penetrate deep into groundwater or other sources of water. The damage is very serious for living species.
