While guarding a kill during a snowstorm, this mountain lion was quick as lightning when birds came too close to her meal. She would go from sitting to pouncing in a split second. The speed in which these predators can attack is amazing. Leaping over the kill with little to no effort showed her strength. There is no doubt that when these animals feel a threat they are fully capable of fast attacks! The power in her legs is gives her the ability to successfully hunt and accomplish sneak attacks.
