Dive like a Kingfisher
Kingfishers are aptly named so for their exceptional fishing skills. For a Common Kingfisher like this one, being a small bird equates to a regular feeding habit, keeping itself engaged in a consistent hunt for small fishes, tadpoles and dragonfly nymphs. A diving attempt of it in vein is as occasional as this shot, which required me to be patient for quite some time anticipating the moment and to have several failed attempts before freezing this one.
