Making an image of the king in the morning hours just after sunrise has always been my dream. The early morning sun makes the king and the grassland shine like gold. Being a wildlife photographer for more than 5 years now I believe that only headshots and side profiles don't make good images. Habitat shots speak a lot about the subject. The acacia tree in the background and the endless expanse of the african savanna describe the true beauty of the Masai Mara. The Mara never fails to amaze me!
