I traveled to Samre, Ethiopia recently with the adoption and orphan care agency that I work for. One of our primary initiatives in intervening in the orphan crisis is targeting the most vulnerable children and ensuring that they are able to remain in school so they can creak the cycle of poverty. Bethlehem is one millions of orphans living in crisis. Both of her parents passed away, and she is now living alone. She continues to attend school, and dreams of becoming a doctor. She is my reason.
