As Fall begins and the salmon spawning season winds down, the coastal brown bears of Alaska had gained most of their winter weight by gorging on salmons. On this rare sunny Alaskan morning, two very healthy bears were engaged in a dramatic playfight on the river. The fluidity of water and the morning light captured much of the actions happening during the duel: from the powerful splashing stumps of their legs to the droplets sprayed due to impacts of their powerful paws hitting each other.
