People used to think black cats were bad luck. I don't think it's as bad today, however shelters and rescue centres report that black cats and dogs are the last to be re-homed. Apparently some people think they don't photograph well. As the owner of a black rescue cat called Wolverine, it takes more understanding of your camera to get the correct lighting. But the results are beautiful.
