Bamburet open graveyard in Kalash Valley
My apologies for the disturbing photo. This is Kalash graveyard in Bamburet Valley of Pagans in Northern Pakistan near Chitral City. These people claim to be the descendants of Alexander the Great. They place their deceased people in open graves without covering them. When a person dies in Kalasha villages, instead of mourning, they celebrate and distribute his wealth equally among all villagers. They say that they celebrate because the suffering of the deceased of this life is finished.
