Migrating Monarchs
Since the roadways are open and cleared after Hurricane Michael, I decided to go to St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge. It is an area where thousands of monarchs migrate every year. While the refuge did have extensive damage, I still spotted at least 100 monarchs. Since the refuge had extensive salt burn, a lot of the nectar rich plants were already dead. The few that did survive were loaded with monarchs. Somehow, nature finds a way.
