Reaching for the sun
A juniper skeleton hangs over the edge of Shafer Overlook in Canyonlands National Park. Even though it is no longer alive it still clings to the earth, and looked as if it were reaching for the sun. It spoke of the resilience of life in the desert, and the resilience of nature.
