The Ladder
The small holes carved into the sand stone were used by Native Americans to escape flood waters and to access a sleeping area. There is evidence of a granary in the sleeping area. It is believed they used the canyon for protection and to escape the severe heat during the day as it is cool at the bottom of the canyon.
