The lukomir village in Bosnia is one of the oldest and most secluded villages in Europe. It sits on the edge of the raketica canyon and has almost no connection to modern civilization. Only recently, has the road to Lukomir been adapted to allow passage by car, Where as in the past, the village was a popular destination for mountain bikers and hikers passing through the area. By bike, it takes approximately 5 hours to get to the village and takes about a day of hiking.
