The Mayweed Sunray (Hyalosperma cotula) is a common plant of the South-West of Western Australia. It grows in heath or woodland in mainly gravel or sandy soils. The plant grows to a height of around 30 cm., while the white, yellow or pinkish flowers can be up to 3 cm. across. A carpet of these plants is a joy to see. Taken near Ashby in Western Australia, about 30 km. North of Perth.
