This past September, I made a trip to Algonquin Park to photograph some Loons before they migrated for the Winter. The chicks were now young adolescents and learning to catch their own food. This made it very difficult to photograph them, as they were constantly diving under the water. The adult loon seemed to have no partner and had to catch most of the food, but in one of the rare moments when the parent and chick were together, I managed to capture this image.
