RITUALS OF CHHATH
Chhath is a Hindu festival observed in India. It is celebrated elaborately in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Chattishgarh & West Bengal. The Chhath Puja is dedicated to Lord Sun and his wives Usha and Sandhya. The two days long puja includes holy bathing, fasting, prostration march. Devotees offer 'Arghya' (offerings, specifically sweets; coconut; fruits and vegetables) standing in the water to the rising & setting sun for granting their wishes- this is the exclusive ritual of Chhath puja.
This composition is working so well for me. I love that you filled the frame past the edges with the water and framed the women slightly off-center to create a balanced image between negative and positive space.
