After swooping down into the Susquehanna River, this bald eagle checks to make sure that what he/she grabbed out of the water was in fact a fish. This picture was shot last year near the Conowingo Dam in Maryland where the eagles gather in November. The eagles are starting to show up again this year, and I'm looking forward to going down to get some more shots.
