My chief goal in visiting Australia was to experience the joy of seeing kangaroos, creatures that have fascinated me since childhood, in the wild. After researching likely locations, and within minutes of leaving Melbourne Airport the morning I landed on the continent, I was thrilled to capture this idyllic scene. A friend described the image as if it could be an illustration in a children’s book. I received the most beautiful gift at this Kangaroo Party.
