    Reported by:

A red tail hawk sitting in a tree during an ice storm. The tree is in the middle of a field cornfield that was harvested and cleaned about a week or two ago. Probably lots of food for it in the area. This was shot at 500mm hand held with the Nikon 200-500mm. It is cropped but not much. I was a long way away as the hawk could see me for hundreds of yards if I tried to get there. I shot it from a road sitting in my Jeep blocking traffic. They were very nice and stayed out of the shots.
