I was lucky to be able to visit a Hawks Conservancy Trust centre at Andover, near Salisbury whilst visiting the UK. This majestic Hawk had just finished a 2km flight and was on high alert as he had been harassed by Magpies whilst trying to get home. Apparently the Hawk was breed in captivity so it would not be released to the wild, but the centre does look after sick and injured birds which they do release as soon as they are able to fend back out in the wild.
