The Kamo River (Kamogawa) is one of my favorite locations in Kyoto - bridging urban environment and nature. It has always been a central element of the ancient capital of Japan and has a very strong and mysterious energy. The river bank is a popular place for everyone to meet and engage in various activities throughout the year - like on this sunny autumn afternoon.
