A young calf salivates in anticipation of its morning bottle of milk, at a dairy farm in rural New Brunswick. I wanted to capture the excitement of the calves at seeing their handler come in to feed them. Their heads were bobbling in and out of their pens, excitedly, waiting for their turn to be hand-fed. I was struck with how smart they were, to know that it was feeding time.
