    Off to the side of the WWII Memorial in Washington DC can be found an overlooked aspect of the memorial. Pillars that converge to a circle and point to the sky remind us of just how connected we all are. The human atrocities that occurred during WWII happened due to differences found in the human race, but if any human were to look up, we would find that we all see the same heavens, the same sky. When we see the similarities we all share, we have a greater capacity for humanity.
