I was told that the Navajo people believe that the rocks, buttes, and mesas of 'Tsé Biiʼ Ndzisgaiie' are alive; that they have stories and heartbeats that you can feel. For the Diné (how the Navajo refer to themselves), the spiritual and physical worlds blend into each other. This place is not just a favourite Hollywood backdrop or the site of magnificent scenery. It is the sacred beating heart of the Navajo Nation. IG: @taralowryphotography
