Spending almost 3 hours, photographing spiders in my garden, I, discovered this cannibal 'Black Jumping Spider' devouring a young one. Spider cannibalism is the act of a spider consuming another individual of the same species as food. In many species a female spider kills and eats it's mate spider before or after copulation. Males eating female is seen rarely. The circular pattern in the eye is due to the ring light that I used.
