    Commemoration ceremony in Turkey is held at the Asura Matem ceremony in Halkalı, Istanbul. This ceremony was chosen by UNESCO to best describe Ashura day in the best way; it was also nominated to enter the Guinness Book of records in terms of the number of visitors and the theatre of Ashura at the ceremony. They accept the months of Muharram and safer as months of mourning. There are no weddings and similar fun for two months.
