Sunset at low head pilot station
Low head pilot station in the north east of Tasmania was built in 1805 to provide cottages, schools and a post office for the pilots guiding the first boats down the Tamar river to Launceston. It is a windy and rough place but we were lucky enough to enjoy this sunset before going on a penguin tour. Each night hundreds of penguins come back on land to visit their partners which are waiting with their babies.
