In the summer there are massive crowds looking to catch a glimpse of this famous lake, but come winter there are only a handful of people around, mostly for ski touring/splitboarding. I've been to this area a few times for backcountry snowboarding, but never really got a good look at Peyto Lake due to low visibility. It was nice to have a clear day to stop and enjoy this view all our ourselves.
