faoileán
Gull is faoileán in Irish Gaeltacht and this one has found a perfect perching location. In Celtic mythology, birds are messengers and this one is saying, “Welcome back, Nancy”. It’s been 19 years since I last visited my favourite part of Ireland, it’s very southwest coast, the Dingle Peninsula and thankfully much of it remains visually similar to when I first set eyes in 1991 and fell in love. Finally got to introduce my son to this beloved spot. Céad Míle Fáilte! A hundred thousand welcomes!
